We offer all kinds of removable prosthesis or dentures.
- Complete Dentures:
These replace all missing teeth in one or both jaws. Although getting used to these kind of teeth is always a challenge for a patient but most of the people use it successfully when they become used to these after certain period of time.
We also provide replacement dentures and copy dentures to those who have been using old complete dentures but facing issues of looseness and improper fit. The American Dental Association recommends you replace your dentures every 5-7 years for proper fit and appearance. Denture teeth can wear down and stain faster than natural teeth, and tissues in your mouth may change over time which can result in an improper fit.
There is also a possibility that complete dentures are prepared before your teeth are removed and fitted as soon as your teeth are removed, which means you won’t be without teeth. These kinds of dentures are called immediate complete dentures.
Another kind of complete denture which are supported by remaining few natural teeth are called tooth supported over dentures. These give better stability and support and patients feel more comfortable in using these kind of dentures.
- Partial removable dentures:
Partial removable dentures are given to replace few missing teeth in a jaw. These are easily removed when not needed. Our professionals provide almost all kinds of partials.
Cast metal partial dentures are the most-used option when it comes to partials because they’re strong and they’re built to last many years. While some patients are concerned about the idea of a metal partial, but most of the rigid metal frame can be covered by pink colored plastic that matches the color of your gums.
Acrylic partial dentures or acrylic flippers is another most common kind of partials which have only less amount of metal but considered as temporary dentures as they need to be replaced more often. They are considered as the most affordable ones. They provide good stability and retention due to the denture fitting closely and tightly against the gums and natural teeth, and the use of wrought metal clasps (retainers) to grip the teeth. In some cases we can also skip using the metal clasps making them very suitable for asthetic purposes. As they rest on the mucosa they may lead to some level of irritation to the underlying tissues and they may lead to fracture if dropped.
Flexible partial dentures are gaining popularity now a days due to their lack of requirement of metal clasps. They’re more comfortable to wear and for the wearer to chew and eat due to the thin and flexible thermoplastic resin material. They’re less likely to cause irritation and resistant to fracture. Although there are chances that the teeth separate from the flexible base.
- Implant supported dentures:
An implant-supported denture is a type of overdenture that replaces several teeth at once. If you’ve lost most of your teeth or have excessive bone loss, we may recommend implant-supported dentures. Your overdenture will need at least two dental implants for support. These are also known as snap-on dentures.
